We are pleased to share the announcement of the Annual Conference 2025 of Denkraum Ukraine (Think Space Ukraine), which will take place from October 9 to 11, 2025, at the University of Regensburg.

The upcoming conference, titled "Organisations and Institutions in Times of War – Ukraine, Eastern Europe and Beyond," invites scholars and practitioners to explore the effects of military conflict on organisations and institutions, both in the immediate context and through long-term theoretical and practical lenses.

Organised by Denkraum Ukraine, one of two DAAD-funded interdisciplinary centres for Ukraine studies in Germany, the event will provide a platform for research and dialogue across disciplines. The organisers welcome contributions addressing how war affects institutions and organisations in diverse fields such as economics, politics, law, history, and culture.

Potential Topics Include:

• International management, supply chain management, crisis management
• Organisational resilience and change
• Leadership under stress
• Institutional transfers and transformations
• Reorientation and management of cultural, epistemic, and linguistic hierarchies
• Spatial reorientation of cultural formats
• Translation of meanings, symbols, and institutions
• The role of identity and memory in organisational behaviour

How to Participate:

Researchers interested in contributing are invited to submit their applications or panel proposals by June 30, 2025.
